I will share an interesting snippet about our body design which may give you goosebumps. There are 2 parts (Nails and Hairs) of the integumentary system which do not have nerve endings. This unique design feature ensures that there is no sensation of pain when we get our hair cut or bite our nails.
If it were not for this amazing design, then anesthetic would have to be administered every time we visit a hair salon or watch a nail biting finish in a soccer game.
